Payment by PayPal

HouseFlash is pleased to be able to accept automatic payments through PayPal. PayPal is the #1 online payment service with over 20 million members in 39 countries. Through PayPal you can set up to pay your subscription automatically using a credit card.

Note that all your financial information is stored at and available only to PayPal's secure system. HouseFlash is only advised of your subscription sign-up, payments made, and subscriptions cancelled.

 

PayPal Membership

Your PayPal membership is the only method of payment that HouseFlash accepts at this time. If you are already a PayPal member, you can simply add the HouseFlash subscription to your account, to activate recurring automatic payments. PayPal is also well documented, and guides you through the process with detailed field instructions.

The information contained on this page relates to using PayPal with HouseFlash subcriptions, and not all facets of the PayPal service. Read all about the PayPal service for the USA and for International customers, their process, security, and options, by accessing the PayPal Help on http://www.paypal.com.

International Members are charged a minimal PayPal fee for member verification purposes. This fee will be printed on your next credit card statement, and identified as a PayPal charge. Your member number will also be printed on your credit card statement. This member number will allow you to be verified and thus, increase your allowable spending limit.

After verification, U.S. clients may also set up debit cards or bank accounts with PayPal.

To see your PayPal account after you have signed up for a HouseFlash subscription, you can access the PayPal site via a link on the HouseFlash Subscription Records page, or you can go directly to the PayPal site, by typing https:/www.paypal.com in the URL.

Both subscriptions and payments are assigned unique numbers to assist you in reconciling your PayPal payments to your credit card statement.

Payment Method Options

Automatic payment method: the first payment will be debited on your credit card as soon as you initiate your PayPal subscription. Subsequent payments will be debited based on the type of subscription you chose; e.g. the standard monthly subscription will be charged to your account on the same day the next month. The days available to you on your HouseFlash account will include any trial period remaining as well as the period paid by the current transaction.

The time purchased by a recurring payment is added to the days remaining on the Agent Menu page. On the last day for which you have paid, PayPal will bill your credit card on behalf of HouseFlash.

PayPal Profile

Your PayPal Profile is a subtab of the My Account tab. This is where you can change your PayPal password, email address, credit card, mailing address, and notification preferences. In the Notification Preferences, you can specify whether you wish to be emailed when a payment is taken from your account. This is an added security measure against unauthorized use of your PayPal account.

Your Financial Information

HouseFlash does not have any access to your financial information. This data resides securely at PayPal. HouseFlash is advised by PayPal when you sign up for a subscription, when payments are made and if you cancel your subscription.

PayPal Security

PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to theirs using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). Before you even register or log in to the PayPal site, their server checks that you're using an approved browser - one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. Once your information reaches PayPal, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. PayPal servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers.

Protect your PayPal password carefully. Never give your PayPal password to anyone. If you suspect that someone may be using your account or seen your password, logon to the PayPal site, under Profile, and change your password immediately.

Cancelling a PayPal payment

When adding a subscription or payment with PayPal, you are given the opportunity to cancel midway through the transaction. If you do not cancel at that time, you may only cancel a payment if the Status of the payment is Unclaimed.

If you cancel an eCheck payment, the withdrawal from your bank account cannot be cancelled. Instead, the eCheck amount will be credited to your PayPal account balance.

    Here's How:
  1. Login to your PayPal account
  2. Click on the History subtab
  3. Click on the Cancel button in the Action column of the transaction in question
  4. Click Cancel Payment
You have successfully cancelled this payment.

To cancel a credit card payment, you must contact your credit card company and request a chargeback.

Cancelling a Subscription

You can cancel your HouseFlash subscription at any time. To do this access Subscription Records on the Agent Menu, and click on the PayPal link. You can also access the PayPal site directly at https:/www.paypal.com. When you have logged in to your PayPal account, select the subscription to be cancelled, by clicking on the status field. This will take you to the detail subscription record. At the bottom of the page there is a Cancel Subscription button. Pressing this button initiates the cancellation process, but you will be asked to confirm the cancellation. If you choose to continue, your subscription will be updated to cancelled status at PayPal and at HouseFlash. You will receive a confirmation email from both organizations.

Refund Policy

Our minimum billing period is 30 days (a 'month'). We refund entire unbilled months, but not partial ones. Listings will remain available until the end of the month in which you cancel your subscription. You may cancel your subscription anytime by sending us an email with your details to accounting@houseflash.com. Send the cancellation email anytime up to 48 hours before the next payment to prevent further automatic payments.
